Cyberstalking is a type of online harassment that involves using electronic means to stalk a victim that can lead to a pattern of threatening behaviors. As technology continues to grow, Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer advises keeping an eye on young children and teenagers and their social media use for any potential “bad actors:”

Cyberstalking can be prevented by limiting personal information shared online and resetting passwords often.
