GRACE BUCHANAN AWARDS – For best use of medium

Watercolor: Charlotte Lincoln, Big Town, New Boston Elementary

Pastels: Landon DeRoo, The Cool Human, Apollo Elementary

Printmaking: Nora Laws, Untitled, United Elementary West

Pen, Ink, Pencil: Lillian Lenover, A, Central Intermediate

Acrylic: Beatriz Vazquez, The Sus One, ICS

Mixed Media: Kason Loving, Quack, Quack, Apollo Elementary

BEST OF DIVISION – For overall outstanding artwork within age group

K – 2nd Grade: Noelia Paredez, The Big Basket, Harding Primary

3rd – 5th Grade: Liam Schnack, Craftsmanship, Apollo Elementary

SUSAN TWOMEY INNOVATION AWARD – For creativity, unique perspective, and artwork that stands out among a sea of artwork and shows tremendous promise within the entire exhibition

WINNER: Jaxon Taylor, Chinese New Year, Apollo Elementary

LYNN FINCH AWARD – Awarded to one student for unique/mature artwork and execution of technique for his/her age

WINNER: Ava Carlson, Quiet Tree, Central Intermediate

JOHN OHLER DRAWING AWARD – Awarded to one 2nd – 5th grade student for unique/mature artwork and execution of technique for his/her age

WINNER: Milly Elliott, Horse Drawing, ICS

BEST OF SHOW – For overall outstanding artwork within the entire exhibition, Sponsored by AAUW

WINNER: Ellie Kernan, PiCATso, Apollo Elementary

Thank you BCA volunteers who helped install the Town & Country Art Show. This year’s show features more than 550 pieces from K-5th grade students in Henderson, Mercer, and Warren Counties. The show will run March 14 – May 5, 2023. Extra special thanks to AAUW Monmouth Chapter for sponsoring this year’s Best of Show, Blick Art Materials for being an event sponsor, and Immaculate Conception School for sponsoring the reception!
