Mrs. Marilee J. Fields, 74, passed away at 8:12 pm Friday, March 10, 2023 at Marigold Rehabilitation and Health Care Center surrounded by her family.

Marilee was born July 3, 1948, in Kewanee, Illinois, the daughter of Marvin C. and Marjorie J. (Starr) Coziahr. She married William G. Fields on August 16, 1969.

Marilee is survived by her husband of 53 years, William; her son William “Bill” Fields, II of Galesburg, her stepdaughter, Kim Fields of Galesburg; her brother, Tim (Debbie) Coziahr of Decatur, Illinois; two grandchildren, Amber, and Britney Fields and four great grandchildren, Bryson Sexton, Addilynn Rosellas Stewart and Michael G. Stewart and Amai’Onna Dominique Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Marilee graduated from Galesburg High School in 1966 and later went to IVC Nursing Academy. She worked as a surgical nurse for of 38 years at OSF St. Mary Medical Center. Marilee was a member of the Galesburg Covenant Church. She had a love for camping with her family and reading romance novels.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Hinchliff-Pearson West-Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be Noon to 1 pm at the chapel. The burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Covenant Church. Online condolences maybe made at www.h-p-w.com
