The Monmouth-Roseville High School Preforming Arts Department will present their spring musical ‘Footloose’ this coming weekend inside the High School Auditorium. Based on the 1984 hit film Footloose, senior Molly Mattan, who will perform as Ariel, says this final week of rehearsals, the cast is focused on transforming into their characters on stage:

“It is going really good. Our directors feel really assured that it is going to be a really good show. We are in a really good place right now. Now it is just the little things and perfecting it in little ways and really forming into our characters; it is not just about the lines and the music anymore, it is about really becoming our characters on stage. Everyone is doing a really good job in doing that, but there is always room for improvement. We are hoping that given where we are right now, that in a week’s time it is just going to be butter. We are really excited.”

‘Footloose’ will be presented Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th at 7 pm, then again at 2 pm Sunday, March 19th. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $10 for adults, $5 for students with their ID, and children six and under are free.
