Shootings reported in East Moline, Illinois and in Burlington, Iowa

A man is charged in a deadly shooting in East Moline. Police say shots were fired early yesterday near 15th avenue. Officers found an wounded man outside of a home and he was pronounced dead at the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. A possible suspect entered a home on 15th avenue and wouldn’t leave. He was later seen fleeing the home on 15th avenue on foot and was taken into custody. Zaccheus Hayes is being held at the Rock Island County Jail on murder charges.

Two people are wounded following a shooting in Burlington. Police say the shooting happened Friday night in the area of the 14-hundred Block of Division Street. The two victims were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.
