Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies Assist in Arresting Suspect in Possession of Stolen Vehicle from Macomb

On March 14th at approximately 8 AM the Warren County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a report of a vehicle stolen from Macomb. Deputies located the vehicle traveling through Monmouth towards Galesburg. The vehicle was stopped on US 34 and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect, 22 year old Harlan Genus of Munster, IN was taken to the Warren County Jail and booked on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. He was then released to Macomb Police Department Detectives to face charges in McDonough County over the theft of the vehicle. It was determined Genus took a running, but unattended vehicle in Macomb. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public it is not advisable to leave a running vehicle unattended.
