The Monmouth College track and field teams garnered a handful of individual wins on Friday at the Illinois College True Blue Open.
Men
In his first outdoor meet of the season, Reed Wilson (Normal, Illinois) won the pole vault, clearing 4.76m. That result ranks as the seventh best vault in Division III so far this season.
Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) took second in the shot put at 13.35m and third in the hammer throw at 49.63m. Teammate Shane Anderson (Lisle, Illinois) was fourth in the discus at 40.63m and Sam Phillips (Cape Coral, Florida) was fourth in the javelin at 42.46m.
The 4x100m relay men’s team got second with Reed Bona (Dyersburg, Tennessee), Luke Ditsworth (Oquawka, Illinois), Luke Jachimiec (Aurora, Illinois) and Adrian Outlaw (Galesburg, Illinois) finishing in 42.40 seconds.
Maurice Greene (Galesburg, Illinois) got third in the triple jump at 12.24m.
Women
Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) won both the discus and the shot put on Friday. She won the discus with a career-best throw of 43.63m, the seventh-best mark in school history and the 10th best throw in the nation for a D3 student-athlete this season. She took the shot put with a throw of 12.27 which ranks 50th nationally.
Amanda Dybal (Apex, North Carolina) finished second in the discus with a career best throw of 41.12m that ranks 19th nationally. She was also second in the javelin at 33.14m and fourth in the hammer throw with a career-best 46.09m.
Addi Cox (Morton, Illinois) took third in the hammer throw with a career-best 46.21m and third the shot put at 12.00m. Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois) was fourth in the shot put at 11.87m.
Lauren Anderson (Cambridge, Illinois) won the high jump at 1.50m. Miranda Hursey (Hanna City, Illinois) won the pole vault at 3.10m, tying for ninth in school history.
