All-Clear Given After Bomb Threat Shuts Down Bradley Campus

A bomb threat is to blame for putting an Illinois university on lockdown Tuesday. Bradley University in Peoria notified students and faculty to shelter in place last night after the threat was received.

“This was not just somebody that called up and said ‘hey there is a bomb here’ and hung up the phone. It was much more elaborate and involved in that and so we wanted to make sure that the response was appropriate.”

That’s Bradley University Police Chief Brian Joschko. Peoria police officers conducted a sweep of the campus, which was in lockdown until late last night. The all-clear was eventually given and classes should be resuming today.
