Caitlin Ann Brooks, 37, of Galesburg, died at 4:41 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Monday, July 29, 1985, in Galesburg, the daughter of William and Susan (Brooks) McCormick.

She is survived by her mother, Susan McCormick of Galesburg; her fiancé, Clint Cox of Galesburg; siblings, James McCormick of Clarksville, Tennessee, Brandi (Dion) Harris of Detroit, Michigan, Angela (Matthew) Goolsby of Tennessee, Shannon (Travis) Sharon of Avon Illinois, and Anthony Elmer of Indiana; her dogs, Pepsi and Bennie; aunts and uncles, Pam Brock of Kentucky, Sally De La Cruz of Galesburg, Rose Campbell of Galesburg, Lloyd Calhoun of Colona, Cal (Dora) Calhoun of Galesburg, Brad McCormick of Arkansas, and Connie McCormick Brant; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father on April 20, 2013, and an aunt, Peggy Williams.

Caitlin was a social person, who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was known as the problem solver for technological issues related to phones and computers for those around her. Caitlin loved animals, shopping, and was a fan of WWE. She was always thinking of others and making them feel better. Caitlin had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. Memorial contributions in Caitlin’s name may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
