Illinois Legislatures Presenting Bills to Address Drug Addiction and Use

Share

Members of the Senate Republican caucus have a number of bills up for consideration to address heroin and fentanyl addiction and use. Senator Sally Turner wants pharmacies to be able to sell fentanyl testing strips and for county health departments to be able to give them away. Turner says drug users should be able to find out what they are really taking.

Another bill would have county coroner’s list fentanyl related deaths as “fentanyl poisoning” instead of “fentanyl overdose”.
