Knox Co. Deputy Patrol Vehicle Hit By Car

A Knox County deputy is recovering after a patrol vehicle was hit by another car.  Authorities say the incident happened yesterday when a vehicle hit a patrol vehicle blocking traffic at the scene of a fire on Knox Highway 8.  The deputy was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.  The Illinois State Police are handling the crash investigation.
