Knox County CEO Students to Showcase Businesses at Trade Show

Share

The Knox County CEO program offers high school juniors and seniors throughout Knox County with an opportunity to become immersed in real life experiences and take risks, manage the results, and learn from outcomes. Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer shares the student entrepreneurs will showcase a variety of businesses at an upcoming trade show:

“We have an interesting mix. We have what I call more like ‘Lifestyle Businesses.’ It is generally a mixture of small-scale farmer’s market type businesses, but every now and then we have a few students with these very large ideas. One of our students this year is working on a business that would rent virtual reality headsets to people and it has a virtual escape room programmed into that. I thought that was a cool idea, so very 21st Century. Every year there are a few surprises.”

The 2023 Knox County CEO Trade Show will be held Tuesday, May 9th from 4 to 6 pm at The Vault in Galesburg.
