Local Students Gaining Self-Esteem and Academic Growth Through Jamieson’s Pattee Learning Center

Share

The Pattee Learning Center through the Jamieson Community Center is currently serving 28 students in first grade through sixth grade, shares Executive Director Nancy Mowen:

“Those kids are learning a lot every day, so not just growing academically, but they also have a lot of increase in self-esteem and that is so important. When they feel good about themselves, they are willing to try more. So we are seeing a lot of growth.”

As the program continues through the summer months, Director Mowen says tutors are needed Mondays through Thursdays 8:30 am to 10 am.
