Mississippi River Could Surpass Flood Stage By End Of April

Share

The Mississippi River is rising.  The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities says the river in Rock Island will likely surpass flood stage of 15 feet before the end of this month.  The river level is going up as snowfall to the north begins to melt.  Rainfall over the next several weeks will determine just how far above flood stage the Mississippi River actually reaches.
