Both teams were strong on the hill Tuesday, but Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity defeated Erie Prophetstown Varsity Panthers 3-2. Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity pitchers allowed just nine hits to Erie Prophetstown Varsity Panthers.
Justin Brooks got the win for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. The righthander went six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking one. Tyler Finnicum threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Braedyn Frank took the loss for Erie Prophetstown Varsity Panthers. The hurler allowed four hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out five.
Finnicum, C.J. Johnson, Zach Almaguer, and Silas Braun each collected one hit to lead Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity.
Erie Prophetstown Varsity Panthers totaled nine hits. Owen Farral and Zane Romero each collected multiple hits for Erie Prophetstown Varsity Panthers.
The Titans are now 8-2-1 on the season!
