Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity Outdone by Galesburg Varsity Silver Streaks, 5-1

Galesburg Varsity Silver Streaks scored four runs in the fourth inning. Jameson Dickerson, Tyree Taylor, and Tristan Legate all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Taylor led the Galesburg Varsity Silver Streaks to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The pitcher surrendered one run on seven hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Nico Avendano led things off on the hill for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. The right hander allowed nine hits and five runs over six innings, striking out five.

C.J. Johnson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity in hits.

Galesburg Varsity Silver Streaks saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Legate, Taylor, and Charlie Lardi all managed multiple hits for Galesburg Varsity Silver Streaks. Galesburg Varsity Silver Streaks didn’t commit a single error in the field. Brandon Bruington had the most chances in the field with six.

The Titans are now 7-2-1 on the season.
