Two story residential in Good Hope destroyed in fire

On 4-22-23 at approximately 6:51pm Good Hope Fire was paged for a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, a two story residential was found to be engulfed in heavy fire. Fire fighters from multiple departments were called in by mutual aid to assist with water supply and defensive operations of getting the fire under control. All units cleared the scene at approximately 12:30 a.m. There was no one home at the time of the fire and no injuries reported. The home is considered to be a total loss.

Good Hope Fire was assisted by Blandinsville Hire Fire Protection district, Emmet Chalmers Fire, Bushnell Fire, Colchester Fire Protection District, Macomb Fire Department, Lifeguard Ambulance Service of Illinois, Mcdonough County Sheriffs office, Ameren Illinois, McDonough County 911, and the village of Good Hope water department.
