The United high school varsity softball team has had a tough go around up to this point in the season, as they continue to play contests against tough teams in the Lincoln Trail Conference. The Red Storm have had to be road warriors in their recent stretch of games, dropping games at Annawan/Wethersfield, Mercer County, and West Central in the past week. United will finally get a home game tonight, when they welcome the Knoxville Blue Bullets. This morning, Head Coach Marc McMahon gave his insight as to what Knoxville brings as a very competitive ball club.

United currently sits at 1-9 overall on the season, but hopes to improve that record over the next few weeks, as IHSA regional play is set to begin in May.
