Farmer’s Market season for the City of Monmouth kicks off Friday, June 2nd from 5 to 8 pm at their new location of the 100 Block of South First Street. While the traditional produce, honey, and crafting stands will be set up, Administrative Assistant Amanda Socha shares new vendors and features will be in attendance:
“We are blocking off the whole block. We have food trucks, every Friday we will have a food truck. The first week we are going to have a little planter and you can plant a seed and watch it grow. We are going to try to have firetrucks, tractors, animals; we have a watermelon eating contest and a jalapeno eating contest lined up. The second week we are going to have The Beast from WQAD.”
