Club 41 Will See New Ownership

Share

New ownership is coming for Club 41. Following staffing shortages over the winter months, and the loss of their kitchen supervisor, owner Andy Huston posted on Facebook in April that Club 41 would unfortunately be closing their doors. A short time later, Huston shares the owners of PZ’s Place and Steakhouse in Galesburg contacted him to inform they were interested in purchasing the business to keep a community staple up and going:

“We didn’t want the quality of the food, the service, or anything like that to decline at the club. We didn’t want the club to get a bad reputation that way, so we just decided that it would probably be best if we closed. It was only a few days after that we put out that we were closing, that the people from PZ’s got in contact with us and we met. They are very nice people. They have an awesome reputation in Galesburg as far as their restaurant goes and they are really excited about getting Club 41 and what they can do with it.”

Huston took ownership of Club 41 in 2021, which has been a part of the Saint Augustine community since 1957.
