Leisa R. Coburn, age 59, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away at 10:22 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her residence. She was born December 4, 1963 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of John William and Judy Violet (Pinney) Abbadusky. Leisa attended school in Monmouth, and graduated from Monmouth High School with the Class of 1982. She later attended Eastern Illinois University. On July 2, 2009, she married Curtis L. Coburn in Tulsa, OK, whom she met in 1977 while attending Immanuel Baptist Church in Monmouth, IL and he is surviving. Leisa was previously married to Patrick Leary.

For most of her life, Leisa worked as a producer in the insurance industry. She worked for State Farm in Tulsa, OK and Lebanon, MO. She later worked at AAA in Tulsa, Ok as a agent in their call center. Leisa loved all animals especially dogs, she loved playing board games, flowers, decorating, music, and “doing the work of the Father”. She sang in several worship groups and, as her family and friends say, “she had the voice of an Angel”. Most of all, she loved her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and she worshipped God day and night. Leisa was very active in Church Without Walls pastored by Eddie Paul Flowers in Lenoir City, TN.

Leisa is survived by her husband, Curtis Coburn of Roseville, IL, her mother, Judy Pinney of Roseville, IL, one daughter, Haley Coburn-Winslett (James) of Milton, WV, two sons, Aaron James Patrick-Leary of Lebanon, MO and Branson Coburn of Pearl, MS, two sisters, Ginger Ann Arteaga of Tulsa, OK and Amy (Abbadusky) McCombs of Clinton, IA, four brothers, Tim Abbadusky (Victoria) of Potosi, MO, Ron Arteaga (Jan) of Roseville, IL, Joshua Arteaga of California, and Andrew Abbadusky of Prophetstown, IL, and one granddaughter, Revival Caroline Winslett. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Carolyn Sue Hawk of Monmouth, IL and her father-in-law Russell Lee Coburn, Jr. of Killeen, TX. Leisa is preceded in death by her father.

A funeral service for Leisa Coburn is planned for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family and friends inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials are for Rise Up Society and Church Without Walls-Pastor Eddie Paul Flowers, PO Box 209, Lenoir City, TN 37771.
