After years of being postponed, the Monmouth Police Department, Monmouth Fire Department, Warren County Coroner, Berg’s Towing, Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Service, OSF Life Flight, and the Warren County State’s Attorney teamed up to conduct a mock crash scenario at Monmouth-Roseville High School, reports Mayor Rod Davies:

“It is a very impactful recreation and hopefully gets the attention of the young people about distracted driving or driving under the influence and all the varying bad things that can happen if they do that. That had been put of a couple of years by COVID and bad weather, so they were very excited to get that done.”

Additionally, this week through May 20th is National Police Week, which was established in 1962 to recognize and honor police officers that had lost their lives in the line of duty.
