This past weekend on the famous blue track surface at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Monmouth-Roseville junior Carmyn Huston placed 7th in the IHSA Class 2A shot put state finals. Her toss of 11.69 meters (38′ 4″) was good enough to bring home a medal from the state finals for the 2nd year in a row. She placed 5th in the 2022 IHSA 2A state finals.
