Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity Claws Back, but Falls Just Short Against Orion Chargers

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity’s effort to come back from down four runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 7-6 to Orion Varsity Chargers on Thursday. Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity managed six runs in the failed comeback. Tyler Jones, Silas Braun, and Jones fueled the rally with RBIs.

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity was right in it until Orion Varsity Chargers singled in the sixth inning.

Orion Varsity Chargers got things moving in the second inning, when Alex Edwards doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity tied things up at four. Braun drove in three when Braun homered.

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity scored four runs in the fourth inning. Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity put the pressure on, lead by a home run by Braun and a double by Jones.

Andrew Meiresonne was the winning pitcher for Orion Varsity Chargers. The pitcher surrendered two runs on four hits over three innings, walking one.

Braun took the loss for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. The righty went two innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out three and walking one.

Justin Brooks started the game for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. Brooks allowed six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out five Nolan Buchen started the game for Orion Varsity Chargers. The bulldog went four innings, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out three and walking one

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Braun put one out in the fourth inning.

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity tallied eight hits. C.J. Johnson and Jones each racked up multiple hits for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. Jones and Johnson each managed two hits to lead Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity.

Orion Varsity Chargers saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Meiresonne, Edwards, Kile Johnson, and Cole Kratzberg each collected multiple hits for Orion Varsity Chargers.

Titans are now 12-7-1 on the season
