Overnight Closures of U.S. 34 Begin May 19

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced overnight closures of US 34 between the US 34/IL 74 interchange and the US 34/Seminary Street interchange beginning May 19, 2023. The westbound lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. May 19th to 6 a.m. May 20th. The eastbound lanes will then be closed from 10 p.m. May 20th to 6 a.m. May 21st. Detours will be posted. The closure is part of the work to perform beam repairs on the structure carrying Farnham Street over US 34.
