Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child arrest made

Macomb Police Department Press Release


On May 15th, 2023, the Macomb Police Department received a report alleging a
Criminal Sexual Assault of a child which had occurred in Macomb. After a thorough
investigation, a suspect was developed and identified as Joshua T. Dye (male / white,
age 25, of Macomb, IL). Subsequent investigation into the allegations resulted in
probable cause being established and an arrest warrant was issued for Dye. The arrest
warrant was for three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child. With the
assistance of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, the Macomb Police Department took Dye
into custody on May 19th, 2023, without incident. The investigation in ongoing and
additional charges may come forth.
Joshua Dye is in custody and needs $250,000 to post bond.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
