The United high school softball team’s season has ended after a first round regional loss to the Cyclones of West Prairie on Monday night. The Red Storm came into regionals after a tough regular season containing several injuries and multiple scheduled games getting rained out, however United battled all the way to end with West Prairie, ultimately falling 4-1 in Sciota. Despite the rough stretch of the season for 4th year head coach Marc McMahon, says there is positivity for the future going forward, as many starting players for the Red Storm will be returning to United High School next season.

United softball finishes the season at 1-21 overall on the season, and 0-16 in Lincoln Trail Conference play. For the full interview with Coach McMahon, visit the Sports Podcast section of our website, radiomonmouth.com.
