During the busy summer months, the Warren- Henderson County Farm Bureau holds fundraising events to benefit AG in the Classroom and scholarships. Gina Sanberg, manager of the Warren- Henderson County Farm Bureau shared the events they are planning in June.
“On Saturday, June 3rd, the annual tractor drive that the Maple City Antique Tractor Association does for our Ag in the Classroom and scholarship programs,” said Sanberg. “The tractor drive this year will start in Abington, it will be 50 miles.”
Then on June 7th and 8th Warren- Henderson County Farm Bureau will be one of the six county farm bureau’s hosting the Summer Ag Institute Days for teachers K-12 to show ways they can incorporate agriculture into the classroom.
Then, to wrap up the month, Sanberg says the Warren- Henderson County Farm Bureau is planning its big social, fundraising event for the year.
“We are going to do a trivia night,” said Sanberg. “We will have heavy appetizers, and then we will start to get the program rolling about 6 pm. In addition to trivia, we will be announcing our Ag Service Award recipient, and our scholarship recipients for this coming school year.”
