Henderson County Deputies Arrest Oquawka Man for Criminal Trespassing

Henderson County Sheriff Matthew Link releases the arrest of an Oquawka man for Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle (Class A misdemeanor) and Aggravated Domestic Battery (Class 2 Felony).

On Sunday, June 25th, 2023 at approximately 12:25am, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of stolen vehicle in Oquawka. During the investigation, the vehicle was returned to the owner’s address. The suspect of the stolen vehicle was found to be a family member of the victim. When the Deputy arrived at the residence an altercation was occurring. The Deputy was able to separate the parties and continue the investigation. It is alleged that Zachary M. Ferguson (age 28) had taken the vehicle and when he returned it, got into a physical domestic battery with the victim.

Ferguson was arrested without bail and transported to the Henderson County Jail. Ferguson is still in custody and awaiting a bail hearing.

Ferguson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
