Hula Hoop for Hygiene on June 17th to Support Community Hygiene Pantry

Share

Founded in 2020, the Community Hygiene Pantry, a nonprofit organization, was created after Founder and Executive Director Deanna Trout discovered the need for hygiene products was extremely necessary in the local community. As the pantry is able to serve those in need by donations alone, Trout shares an upcoming fundraiser:

“I was trying to find a way to get the Warren County community members more involved with us and one of our board members came up with the idea of hula hoop for hygiene and I liked that idea. It is different, it’s fun, it can be fun for all ages whether you can hula hoop or not. June 17th at 10 am we are going to be at the Monmouth Park on 11th Street at the ball diamond. We have hula hoops and we have leis for everybody who comes. It is $10 per person to participate to help is raise some funds for our Warren County distribution.”

Over the last twelve months, the Community Hygiene Pantry, who now partners with Jamieson Community Center, has served more than 8,600 people of all ages in Knox and Warren Counties and over 300 families each month.
