Knox and Warren County Local Police Departments Recover Firearms, Drugs, and Currency During Executed Search Warrants

KNOX COUNTY and WARREN COUNTY, ILLINOIS

Sheriff Jack C. Harlan Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Russell Idle Galesburg Police Department, and Chief Joseph Switzer with the Monmouth Police Department announce several arrests for weapons and drug charges. Juan Garcia (Galesburg), Shiloh Bates (Monmouth), Jordan Hess (Galesburg), Jena Hess (Galesburg), and Treyshawn McLaren (Galesburg) were arrested after a several month-long joint investigation by area Law Enforcement and the F.B.I. TOC West Task Force. The investigation revealed suspects being in possession of illegal firearms and distributing large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine throughout Knox and Warren Counties.

On 06/07/23, Search warrants were executed at 57 S. Whitesboro St. Galesburg, IL and 218 W. 1st. Ave. Monmouth, IL. Agents recovered 6 firearms, 1,097 grams of Methamphetamine, Psilocybin Mushrooms, Crack Cocaine, large quantities of Cannabis, and U.S. Currency during the execution of the search warrants.

Additional arrests and federal indictments are anticipated. The following agencies assisted in the operation Monmouth Police Department, Galesburg Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, F.B.I. TOC West Task Force, United States Attorney’s Office Rock Island, Knox County State’s Attorney Office, and Warren County State’s Attorney Office.

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
