Macomb Police Make Arrest on Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Damage

On June 24th, 2023, the Macomb Police Department was notified of a burglary which had occurred near
Chandler Park, Macomb, IL. Officers were made aware that an unknown subject had broken into a
locked, enclosed trailer and stolen approximately $600 worth of alcohol. The suspect had also stolen a
large speaker, which was being used as part of the annual Heritage Day festivities.

Subsequent an investigation into the matter, Mark Wiltermood (46, Macomb, IL) was arrested and
charged with Burglary, Theft and Criminal Damage to Property. Wiltermood was housed at the
McDonough County Jail.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
