Richard James Klossing, Sr., 77, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 4:14 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Richard was born June 13, 1945 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Everett J. and Mildred M. (Webster) Klossing. Richard is survived by one brother, Raymond (Jeannine) Klossing of Andalusia, Illinois; two sisters, Marilyn (Butch) Mahaffey of Alexis, Illinois and Margret (the late Donald) Parton of Galesburg, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Dalton and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard spent many years working at area factories, eventually retiring from McLaughlin Body Company in the Quad Cities.

Private family graveside services were held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
