The 2023 Illinois High School All-Star Football Shrine Game is scheduled for Saturday, June 17th at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. The rosters for each squad has been announced.
The Blue Team will be coached by Wilmington head coach Jeff Reents. Ridgewood 8-man football head coach Pat Elder will also be on the coaching staff. West Central 8-man football coach Jason Kirby will help out Red Team head coach Mike Lalor of Stillman Valley.
Local players that have recently graduated on the Red Team include Knoxville’s Braeden Downs, West Central’s Kaiden Droste, Macomb’s Ethan Ladd and Princeton’s Augie Christiansen. Local names on the Blue Team include Ridgewood’s Ty Anderson, Rockridge’s Reese Finch and Annawan/Wethersfield’s Matt Senteney.
