Since the closing of the Thrift Store at the Strom Center in Monmouth, staff has been transforming the second floor into a Community Room to hold even more events for the local senior citizens. Executive Director Carol McCrery hopes getting more involved will bring more people together and keep them active:

“You need to be with people to keep your mental health what it should be. Our projections are that we are going to try and get more and more people out and get them involved, get them so they are participating in different events. Certainly, if people want to do some of the events by Zoom, we do provide a BINGO that people can participate via Zoom.”

McCrery also shares in July they hope to have a computer lab available for persons to utilize as a resource at Strom Center in Monmouth.
