WHFB’s Annual Peach Fundraiser Canceled Due To Cold Winter Conditions

Share

During the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Annual Meeting, the board announced they will not be able to host the Annual Peach Fundraiser this year. According to a letter from the Warren Henderson Farm Bureau Foundation, “Orchards in Southern Illinois were hit hard with December’s polar vortex and because of the weather and timing, orchards have had damage to their crops”.

Because of this, Young Leader Chairman Justin Allaman, says it is even more important to support other events such as their upcoming Trivia Night.

“Everyone loves our Annual Peach Fundraiser but unfortunately this year, we will not be having it because of the weather that ruined the crops down south. So it’s even more important as we look at our Ag in the Classroom programs and our Foundation Scholarships, that this upcoming Trivia Night event and auctions are well supported and attended by the community because every dollar counts.”

The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Foundation Auction is going on now through 7 pm Sunday, June 25th. The auction will close during the farm bureau Trivia Night event. More information can be found at whfarmbureau.org.
