Carolyn E. Campbell, 72, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 9:29 pm, Sunday, July 23, 2023 at her home.

Carolyn was born June 11, 1951 in Monmouth the daughter of Charles E. and Mary L. (Boyd) Robbins.   She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.        

Carolyn married David Robert Campbell November 16, 1974 at the First Christian Church of Monmouth and he passed away on February 28, 2014.

Carolyn was a homemaker and raising her family was her life focus.  She also worked at Farmland in Monmouth, owned and operated Sweetpea’s in Little York for several years, and worked as a bartender and a bus driver.

She enjoyed cooking, hosting and taking care of others.

Survivors include her son, Charlie (Tanya “Lulu” Corry) Campbell of Monmouth; daughters, Nina Jo Campbell of Keithsburg, IL and McKenzie (Aaron Kimzey) Campbell of Monmouth; 6 grandchildren, Autumn Campbell, Brendon Campbell, Kiera Campbell, Logan Campbell, Heather Taylor and Lindsay Campbell; her 4 siblings, Rita Jones Davis, Cindy McLaughlin, Gaylord Robbins all of Monmouth, Chuck Robbins of Alexis, IL; her aunt, Marlene Shamblin of Galesburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, David L. “Chip” Campbell.

Cremation has been accorded. Per Carolyn’s wishes no visitation or services are planned. Memorials may be given to the Carolyn E. Campbell Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
