Christina Diane Moffett, 75, of Bloomington, Illinois, died at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 and is now in her final resting place in heaven.

She was born December 29, 1947 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Francis Virgil and Ella Louise (Kaufman) Wolf. Christina was reared and educated in Decatur, graduating from high school in 1965. She married Lyle Eugene Moffett in Decatur on May 20, 1966. Christina worked for Antiquity Billiard Co. as a bookkeeper for about twenty years. She later worked at State Farm for around ten years. Her main job later being a dedicated homemaker, mother, and caretaker. She loved and enjoyed raising her children.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Lyle Moffett of Galesburg; three sons: David Moffett of Alton, Illinois, Nathan Moffett of China, and Stephen Moffett of Bloomington; one daughter, Cheryl Moffett of Springfield, Illinois; nine grandchildren: Drew, Adam, Ella, Xander, Trey, Josh, Tyler, Rachel, and Rebecca; and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters: Sue, Sandy, Cindy, Kathy, and Becky; a brother-in-law, Larry (Gayle) Moffett of Decatur and their children: Lara, Lindsey, and Ty. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Pat Wolf.

Christina was a longtime member at Bible Baptist Church in Bloomington-Normal, where she sang in the church choir. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts, and painting. Christina also loved gardening and cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Christina’s biggest joy in life was caring for her family, she showered them with unconditional love and will be missed dearly.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church in Bloomington-Normal. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
