Connor Cameron, Danica, and Oliver Lambert Show Rabbits at the Warren County Agricultural Fair

After a successful rabbit show Wednesday morning, showmen Connor Cameron, Danica, and Oliver Lambert were able to reflect on the show and the preparation that went into the competition.

Oliver brought two rabbits with him to the fair; Lightening and Marshmallow. While at the showing table, the judge asked him a variety of questions about his rabbits;

“How would you set the rabbit up, and how a judge would judge a rabbit to be a good rabbit,” said Oliver.

One question that rabbit showman Connor was asked during the show was to pick which one of his rabbits was the best. While he says it was difficult to judge his own rabbits, he tells us how he was able to choose a winner.

“I felt them and felt their body and felt their hair,” said Connor.

Cameron raises California rabbits and says that his favorite part of raising them is showing them.

Oliver showed alongside his sister Danica. The two showed a variety of rabbit breeds including meatspin, lionhead, lops, and Dutch. She shares how they prepared their rabbits for the fair.

“We sat down and took a little time and we brush them clip their nails, and make sure they were all groomed up,” said Danica.
