Cubs Make Flurry Of Roster Moves

Share

The Cubs are making some big changes to their roster.  Before yesterday’s game against the Brewers, the team placed infielder Nick Madrigal on the ten-day injured list with a right hamstring injury and replaced him by activating Patrick Wisdom from the IL.  Additionally, the team selected reliever Daniel Palencia’s contract and moved pitcher Brad Boxberger from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day.  The team also optioned starter Hayden Wesneski to Triple-A Iowa.  The highly-ranked prospect is just 2-and-3 with a 4.75 ERA in 60-and-two-thirds innings this year.
