On Wednesday, 4-H and Junior sheep showman took to the showering at the Henderson County Fair.
In the ewe show, Dayne Gittings took home both the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Ewe titles during the breeding sheep show, earning himself a spot at the Western Illinois Throwdown representing Henderson County on August 5th. When it comes to getting ready for the Throwdown, Gittings says he’s not going to change a thing he has been doing.
“A lot of late nights and early mornings, working hard like I’ve been doing all year. I’m not going to change up my schedule and change anything up on the animals that’s hard on them,” explained Gittings. “But we’re gonna keep working hard and working at it. I’m extremely, extremely excited to go and walk the red carpet.”
Gittings also took home the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb title as well.
