Four Railroad Crossings in Monmouth Expected to be Closed Another Two Weeks

Share

Four railroad crossings in the City of Monmouth are currently closed. BNSF is working on the railroad tracks crossings on South Sunny Lane, South D, South Main, and South 3rd. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer explains how the officers respond with the closures:

“We split the city up into zones and we have an officer assigned to each zone. They are aware of the blockages at the rail crossings and take those into account when calls come in.”

Chief Switzer anticipates the railroad crossings to be closed for another two weeks.
