Mon-Rose, United Volleyball Gatorade Smash Huge Success Again

The Monmouth-Roseville and United High School volleyball teams got together for the 2nd annual Gatorade Smash Scrimmage on Friday afternoon at United High School. United won the inaugural event last summer in three sets. This time around it was Monmouth-Roseville winning in three sets, 25-18, 25-27, 15-7.

Both head coaches, Mon-Rose’s Laura Swiler and United’s Courtney Young, spoke with Prairie Radio Sports Director Shawn Temple following the match.

The first official practice for high school volleyball is August 7th with matches being able to played as early as August 21st. United will open their season on August 21st at home against BPC. Monmouth-Roseville will begin their season on the road at Ridgewood. The Titans home opener will be on August 23rd against Mercer County.
