Following a 23 year career with the Monmouth Police Department, Officer Jimmy McVey has retired from the force, shares Mayor Rod Davies:

“Officer Jim McVey retired from the Monmouth Police Department after 23 years of service. The Police Chief recognized his service with a certificate and a really nice wooden plaque with a replica of his badge and it was a really nice event. There was a lot of members from the department and obviously family and friends there to thank him for his years of service and let him know how much it was appreciated.”

Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer also informed Monmouth City Council at the recent meeting that Public Safety Officer Robbin Avery will be retiring in August after 27 years of service, where she began her career as a janitor before moving into the role of Public Safety Officer.
