Following $1.8 million in capital repair and maintenance projects in the City of Monmouth, another set of water main and road reconstruction projects are still set to be completed this year and into the next, explains Mayor Rod Davies:

“We will be starting very soon the East Euclid water main replacement and road replacement between 9th and 6th Streets. The MFT Maintenance Program, we are just finishing up re-doing the streets. That was about $1.4 million dollars. Then we have another big mandated project, the waste water plant disinfection project. We are also finishing up refurbishing our ion exchange vessel project and are finishing up the last one and then all of those have been refurbished. We have a lot going on and will also be starting the Harlem Avenue water main replacement and the road after that.”

As for the beautification project in Downtown Monmouth, Mayor Davies says the first phase will include water main and sewer replacement in each quadrant, followed by the road refurbishment.
