The Annual Fourth of July Fly-In Breakfast at the Monmouth Municipal Airport will be served from 7 to 10 am for a freewill donation. Flying Club President Trevor Davies shares a new addition this year during the playing of the National Anthem at 8:30:

“For the first time, we are lucky enough to get out of the Quad Cities, Donovan Godsil, who is a member of our club, he is working with the Quad City Sky Diving Center out of Geneseo and we have some folks that are going to be parachuting in during the Star Spangled Banner at 8:30. My understanding there will be three guys. The first one will come in with the American Flag. The second guy comes in with all the service branch flags and the third one will have a P.O.W. flag.”

Parking for those attending the breakfast on the Fourth of July will be in the former Shopko parking lot and a tram will be running people back and forth to the airport hangar.
