Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards Reminds Motorists to Slow Down

Share

With summer in full swing and families hitting the road for vacations, patrol cars are out and about to keep the roadways safe. Locally, Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards reminds motorists to slow down:

“Particularly on Route 164, we started to concentrate on that a week or so ago when some of the numbers were a little high. People were getting up into the 80 miles per hour in a 55, so we are taking some enforcement action to try and slow that down. Again, the object is safety not revenue, but sometimes you have to learn a hard lesson. We want people to be safe and not get hurt in an accident.”

Sheriff Edwards also reminds motorists to not use cell phones while driving and wear a seatbelt.
