Family Outreach Community Center Hosts Fundraising Efforts Amid Increasing Demand

Share

Over the last few months, community centers and food pantries have seen an increase in the need within the community. Centers such as the Family Outreach Community Center in Stronghurst depend on donations and grants to support their outreach programs.
Julie Meloan, Director of the Family Outreach Community Center says they are currently holding its biggest fundraiser of the year; 144 Neighbors Who Care.

“If you see our center, we have the envelopes all on a clothesline and on a bulletin board and we’re asking 144 friends to buy one envelope, and whatever envelope they buy, they pay us that amount. So if you buy 10. Then you’ll give us $10. If we could sell them all it would generate almost $10,000”

Envelopes can be picked and bought by visiting the community center or by messaging the Family Outreach Community Center on Facebook.
