Monmouth City Council Denies Request for Liquor Store and Video Gaming Parlor

Monmouth City Council took no action and denied a liquor and video gaming license that two brothers requested to open in the former Family Video building explains Mayor Rod Davies:

“Two brothers from Galesburg requested from Council a Liquor License to sell packaged liquor and also a Pour License to allow video gaming. They were going to put that liquor store and gaming parlor in the old Family Video building. Keeping with the past actions, the City Council did not take any action to issue a license or Pour License for any gaming parlor, so that request essentially was denied.”
