Share

The first grant cycle with the Monmouth Community Fund has been completed since reaching the fundraising goal of $70,000 and a match from partnerships of the Twomey Foundation, United Way of Great Warren County, and the Galesburg Community Foundation. $10,000 was awarded this time around, with the expectation to continue to grow yearly, shares Advisory Board Member Joel Newman:

“To continue to grow and expand the fund is essential to our ability to give grant dollars to agencies and non-profits that are in need and staying local, keeping those dollars local and supporting those that are in need of some funding.”

Community grants through the Monmouth Fund were awarded to the Buchanan Center for the Arts, CASA of West Central Illinois, the Community Hygiene Pantry, Make it Monmouth, Warren Achievement Center, the Warren County History Museum, Monmouth Fire Department, and seven teachers in the Monmouth-Roseville School District.
